Setting Up CVV Checks
- Select 'Settle' from the top menu on your merchant account login page.
- Select the transaction type to process. This is the payment type where you wish to activate the CVV field for CVV verification.
- Select 'Edit,' 'Sett' as the transaction type to enable the CVV check field.
- Select the desired CVV field from the CVV options (i.e., 'No Request' to prevent AVS from displaying). Ensure the transaction is marked as 'sett' and set CVV checking as 'No Request' to stop CVV from showing up in the settlement file for authorization responses that contain CVV values.
- Select the specific transactions (for instance, sale) for which you wish to disable CVV and save your selections.
Verifying the CVV Check
Once set up, Authorize.Net performs a real-time CVV check for every transaction, enhancing security. If the CVV check fails, the transaction may be flagged for review or automatically declined.
